Duo improvisation with composer and multimedia artist, Christopher Biggs. Chris lives in Kalamazoo, MI, where he is Associate Professor of Music Composition and Technology at Western Michigan University. He is also the director of SPLICE Institute. Check out his website at

Usually for this remote collaborations I ask people to send me an improvisation, I improvised something with it, and then put everything together. Chris' setup is designed to use the sounds produced by the person he's playing with as a source, so I started the chain this time, which was a fun change.

Hey! My name is Carlos and I'm a Spanish composer and improviser based in Philadelphia. I write avant-garde and experimental music for small ensembles and electronic pieces. I also play in a free improvisation trio called Wombat, produce and perform experimental rock music as Black Stork, and collaborate with video artists on audiovisual works.
